Who we are
Podeli put (podeliput.rs) is a free community ride-sharing platform for Serbia and the region. For privacy questions contact privacy@podeliput.rs.
Data we collect
Account: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed). Usage: trips you publish, bookings, in-app messages, reviews, and safety reports. Technical: IP address and browser data in server logs for security and rate limiting.
Why we use it
We process data to create your account, match drivers and passengers, enable messaging after a booking request, send transactional emails (verification, booking updates), prevent abuse, and handle moderation reports. Legal bases: contract (providing the service), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention), and consent where required (e.g. optional marketing — none today).
Sharing
We do not sell your data. After a booking is accepted, driver and passenger see each other's display name and can coordinate via in-app chat; phone numbers are not shown on public trip pages. We use infrastructure and email providers under data-processing terms. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect safety.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. Messages and trip history remain until you delete your account or we remove content under our terms. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your data, and object to certain processing. Contact privacy@podeliput.rs. You may lodge a complaint with the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection.
